VOTE TODAY AND EVERY DAY THROUGH OCTOBER!
Winning a $250,000 Grant from Pepsi Refresh Can Ensure Success of Million Hours of Power -- Help Bring More Men to PTA! Help us by forwarding this information to your fellow PTA members and family and friends and ask them support a great cause.
National PTA® with our Million Hours of Power campaign is still eligible for the Pepsi Refresh Project during October, having finished as one of the top 100 vote-getters in September. PTA can earn a $250,000 grant for the Million Hours of Power male involvement campaign if you and your PTA help us generate votes.
WHAT IS MILLION HOURS OF POWER?
Million Hours of Power is a campaign to inspire men to dedicate at least one million hours of service to the health, education, and well-being of America's youth during this school year. The benefits to children are tremendous when parents get involved. Million Hours of Power has already generated more than 5,000 hours of service from men for the benefit of children, schools, and communities.
Winning the Pepsi Refresh project will allow PTA to build on this momentum. The grant will support town hall meetings, fund tool kits for local PTAs, launch media campaigns, and promote a male volunteer of the year award. These are just some of the ways the grant can provide PTA resources to educate men on how critical their involvement is to their children's development.
HOW TO HELP:
Just go to www.refresheverything.com/millionhoursofpower and sign up using an e-mail address (view this instructional video for more information about voting). For your convenience, you can bookmark the Pepsi Refresh link on your web browser or visit PTA.org and vote from our homepage. You can also text your vote to 102484 if you do not wish to register an e-mail address (send to Pepsi at 73774).
Most importantly, you can help by encouraging others to vote. There are great tools on the Pepsi Refresh project website to spread the word using Facebook, Twitter, and more. Plus, you can support other organizations, including local PTAs, by voting for as many as 10 different projects. Just be sure to post a comment on other project sites indicating your support and asking for support for Million Hours of Power.

Current and Future Heritage Middle School Students Volunteer for Painesville video
When the Downtown Painesville Organization wanted to make a video to promote our community, they contacted the PTA...and the PTA went into action. Parents from Heritage Middle School PTSA and Chestnut Elementary PTA, their children (and pet) volunteered their time to help make this video possible. The children gave their time on a beautiful summer day to help promote the city they call home. Congratulations students and parents AND the Downtown Painesville organization on a WONDERFUL video!
