Next Upcoming Heritage Ptsa Meeting for 2011

The next general Heritage Ptsa Meeting for 2011 will be held on Thursday March 10, 2011 at 6:00pm with the board meeting at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held in the library.

New Day and Time for Heritage PTSA Meeting

The regular Heritage PTSA meeting for December has been changed. The new day and time for the regular meeting is now Wednesday, December 8 at 7:45 PM in the Heritage Middle School library.

Proposed Cuts and a Pending Recount

As you probably already know, the Painesville City Schools levy issue did not pass. After counting provisional ballots, it lost by 29 votes. Last night the board voted at their special work session to pay $600 for a recount of that election. In case the recount does not come out positive for the schools, many possible cuts were proposed for our schools. More information will be posted here soon on what those cuts will or may be. The schools have a $2.5 million shortfall for which they need to compensate to balance the budget.

Painesville City Local School Board Meeting

At the school board meeting tonight, it was announced that the 200 provisional ballots have yet to be counted. The results should be available either this Friday, November 19th or Monday, November 22nd of next week. A work session of the board is scheduled for next Monday, November 22nd, at Harvey and it is open to the public. However, there will be no option for the public to speak, only to observe. If you are interested in finding out what is happening, please attend.

Meeting with the Superintendant

Attention all Heritage PTSA members. You have been invited to a meeting with all PTSA/PTA/PTO members in the Painesville City School District with Superintendant Dr. Michael Hanlon. This meeting is for PTSA/PTA/PTO members only. It will be held Tuesday, November 16th at 4:30 PM at Maple Elementary School.
